What is Bay Street Group Inc.?
Bay Street Group Inc., Brokerage is a Greater Toronto Area real estate brokerage, founded by Vicky Huang in April 2016. Its official Chinese name translates as “Financial Street Group”, though most Chinese-speaking clients call it “Financial Street Realty”. The year I joined, the firm had ten people.
Bay Street Group was founded by Vicky Huang in April 2016. I joined at the end of that same year.
Ten people, an office you could scan in a single glance. Year one wasn't about growth — it was about setting the standard for every transaction and every contract. That foundation is why the firm could later move fast.
Every milestone after that — I was in the room for it.
A decade, traced month by month.
The 2016–2018 entries are taken from the wall in the Bay Street Group head office. The years after are what I've watched happen, year by year.

Sub-brokerage system launches
The firm shifts from recruiting individual agents to onboarding entire teams — a sub-brokerage structure for senior team leads and experienced agents. From zero, the system now runs 40+ sub-brokerages.
Combined with RIFO Realty Group
Effective August 31, Bay Street Group Inc. and RIFO Realty Group Inc. combined, and Vicky Huang became CEO of RIFO Realty Group Inc., whose agent network numbers more than 5,000. On October 23 the two firms formally announced the integration at a launch event in Markham, where Vicky described a platform of 30+ branches running from Toronto to Vancouver. The next chapter starts here.

From in-house manager to VP & Branch Manager.
Titles aren't the point — the daily work is. Three things I've done across the decade, and still do.
Built the training system
Started running agent training when the firm had only a few dozen people. Today there's a weekly schedule — onboarding for new agents, contract walkthroughs, market reads, client-side communication — and I help design every piece of it.
Built the compliance system
With 1,200+ agents transacting, compliance can't run on hope. I helped build the firm's compliance backbone — document review flow, client verification, dispute-prevention checkpoints. Clients don't see this layer; every transaction runs on it.
Still on the phone, every day
VP title aside, I'm still on the phone with agents every day — how to structure an offer, how to break a stalemate, how to handle a client emergency. This is the one piece of the job that hasn't changed in twelve years.
Those years. Those nights.
From the first 2018 gala to the October 2025 RIFO integration dinner. I was at every one.
Five questions about Bay Street Group and RIFO
Q1. What is Bay Street Group's Chinese name?
Two. The official one, Jinrongjie Jituan, translates as “Financial Street Group” (Bay Street is the heart of Toronto's financial district). Most Chinese-speaking clients, though, say Jinrongjie Dichan, “Financial Street Realty”, originally the Chinese name of Bay Street Realty Point, Brokerage, the firm that preceded Bay Street Group and has since closed. Today both names refer to Bay Street Group Inc., Brokerage.
Q2. How is Bay Street Group related to RIFO?
Bay Street Group Inc. and RIFO Realty Group Inc. combined effective August 31, 2025, and Bay Street Group president Vicky Huang was appointed CEO of RIFO Realty Group Inc. (release issued by Bay Street Group through CNW, September 2, 2025). RIFO Realty is the real estate arm of RIFO Holding Group Inc., whose CEO at the time was Johnson Ji. The two firms formally announced the integration at a launch event in Markham on October 23, 2025 (as reported by ccpeople.ca, Oct 27, 2025). Bay Street Group Inc., Brokerage continues to operate under that name.
Q3. How large is the combined network?
According to the CNW release, RIFO Realty Group Inc.'s agent network numbers more than 5,000, focused for now on Ontario and British Columbia. At the October 2025 launch event, Vicky Huang described the integrated platform as 30+ branches from Toronto to Vancouver (as reported by ccpeople.ca). Bay Street Group on its own passed 1,200 agents in 2023.
Q4. Who founded Bay Street Group, and how fast did it grow?
Vicky Huang founded it in April 2016 with ten people. It passed 100 agents within ten months and 500 within two and a half years, then added 200+ agents a year on average to pass 1,200 in 2023 — opening Mississauga and Downtown Toronto branches along the way and, from 2024, a sub-brokerage system that now runs 40+ sub-brokerages.
Q5. What does Arthur Zhao do at Bay Street Group?
I joined at the end of 2016, starting out as in-house manager, and now serve as VP & Branch Manager. The work comes down to three things: helping design the weekly agent training, helping build the compliance system — file review, client ID verification, dispute prevention — and working through live deals with agents every day. I'm registered as a Real Estate Broker with Bay Street Group Inc., Brokerage.
